One Month Old

On Friday, the 24th, Henry turned one month old...these past few weeks and days have flown by! He's still such a tiny thing(although he has gotten noticeably bigger over the past few weeks), but the reality that he will not be little for much longer has started to hit me. Two months, four months, six months, etc. really go by soo quickly, and I'm trying to soak in every moment of "newborn Henry."

Two Weeks Old

Four Weeks Old

So, my days have been a blur of feeding Henry every two-three hours, doing laundry, homeschooling, and taking care of the thousand details that having six people in one household involve. Thankfully, God has been gracious and, at one month out, I finally feel like I'm getting enough rest at night and my body has recovered somewhat so that I can make it through the day without feeling like I need to crawl into bed after lunch....of course, the occasional afternoon snooze while the boys are napping is always welcome!

Henry is growing well, and changing before our very eyes. He was 7 lbs 6 oz. at birth, and of course lost some weight by the time we got home. At his one week checkup, he was at 7 lbs 2 oz, and the pediatrician said he should gain an ounce a day, so when he weighed 7 lbs 11 oz the next week, we were all very happy! He doesn't go back in until 2 months, so I'll be anxious to see the progress we've made :)

James Henry Campbell

First Pic with Mama

We're so happy you're here, Henry!

Proud Papa

Not the baby anymore!

James Henry Campbell....

arrived Sept. 24, 2008 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville at 8:22 p.m. after a long, but successful induction. We were very thankful everything went smoothly and I didn't have to have a C-section. He weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 inches long. He is my second smallest, weighing right in-between Caroline and Jack, and he (of course!) has a head full of dark hair! We have been home a week, and are enjoying life with a newborn. So far(knock on wood), he is eating and sleeping well. Of course, this is after two long first nights home where he wanted to eat every 1.5 hours! I try to feed him very close together during the day, and he is able to go a little longer at night. Henry is a very sweet baby so far, and his older siblings are enjoying him very much!
