My mom, the older kids and I are leaving town tomorrow to go to a wedding in Texas...YeeHaw!! Should be fun, especially since my kids are both in it and my friend whose wedding we went to a few weeks ago in Las Vegas will be there with her new husband as well. The major thing is taken care of...yes, the childcare for the youngest that I put off until the absolute last minute, but I need to get my thoughts in order for this very busy day!

--finish laundry and pack
--tidy house and vaccum
--get a pedicure
--buy three kid b-day gifts
--buy milk
--take Jack to golf lessons
--make dinner
--go to p.o. and drop of water bill

Okay, doesn't really sound like much all condensed like that, but I assure you it will take me all day! Better get to it!

that looks like quite a list! and all that for one day? i don't think i accomplish all that in one week...

You're kind, Sarah, but I'm sure you accomplish all that and more. On the other hand, when you don't have school-age children, you SHOULD enjoy a slower-paced life...and I don't say that in a patronizing way at all, really do enjoy and relish the lazy days and concentrated hours with Emory!

Hey wp! So glad to "see" you! Yes, I do have sympathy for trying to fill the days for two active toddlers who really can't do much yet. Therein lies the quandary, you can't know how busy life will be for you in 4-5 years, but people like me tend to forget how crazy the mundaneness can make you sometimes :)

There is a course here in Franklin that is primarily a teaching course for children ages 4-high school. They have clinics at all different levels. Jack took a week long course last week that was the beginner class for his age group. I didn't get to go observe, but Bobby took him one day, and thought it was fun for him, but probably not worth the money for us. However, it wasn't expensive, the only reason he said that is b/c most of those kids had probably never been on a golf course before, so it was just exposure to hitting the ball. Bobby's been taking Jack out on Saturdays for months now, so not that he's some kind of golf genius, or knew more than the other kids, but we thought it would be more golf instruction, but it was just more or less exposure to hitting a ball, and Bobby can take him out and do the same thing on a Saturday for $5. I think he'll just continue to take him out, and we'll probably do the clinics when he's in an older age group b/c it's a very good golf school, so I'm sure it'd be more instructive at an older age. Are y'all trying to get your oldest interested?

well, nate loves golf and jones loves to play around with his little plastic golf club so i'm sure it will turn into a daddy-jones weekend bonding opportunity :)
